![]() If you don’t already have an emotional investment in Vampire: The Masquerade’s world, Swansong does very little to pull you in. Hold on, I thought the whole titular Masquerade was about hiding the existence of vampires from the public for this exact reason? If he were a better villain, he’d tweet about them. In virtually every scene he shows up in, he spouts some euphemism about ending the vampire reign forever, and then he begins speaking Latin until he gets dramatically ferried off-screen. Its villains are a generic group of heavily armed religious fanatics in police uniforms that unironically label themselves the “Second Inquisition.” And if that wasn’t enough to make your eyes roll, it’s headed by Stanford, a guy whose monologues are so predictable and one-sided that he fails to be seen as anything other than a cheesy cartoon villain. Instead, Swansong quickly positions you as the downtrodden, misunderstood hero of its grimdark underworld. It’s always a treat when you get to play the clear villain of a story. For any questions and bugs, write in the comments to the mod.Things kick off as you step into a fancy pair of vampire shoes and head on down to the Camarilla, an upscale vampire court seated in the heart of Boston. And I can't be held responsible for certain types of feedings that use the feeding animation but don't use the StartVampireFeed function. In terms of compatibility, the mod should not interfere with anything related to the vampire rebalance, except that it has its own multiplier to restore Health and deal damage to NPCs. But I still think that this mod can serve as a good addition to the overhauls you already have. The Vampire Lord's combat bite may not always count, and the feeding animation will look clumsy when you encounter a victim on a bedrolls in an area marked as InInterior or vice versa. In the bottom line, everything may seem beautiful, but even here it may not be without bugs. You didn't think that vampirism was just a bunch of benefits, did you? And, of course, causing damage to Health(50% of Base Health) and other characteristics. Triggering an OnVampireFeed event during a combat bite while in Vampire Lord form, which should allow for more compatibility with survival mods and specific vampire perks. Vampire feeding is no longer considered an assault, but a full reveal of your nature, as if you were feeding on a Vampire Lord in a public place. ![]() If the vampire player has Blood of the Ancients, then also recovery for Magicka and Stamina. ![]() The return of unused feeding animations for bedrolls, so far only working in exterrior. ![]() Try to force this very animation to play when the OnVampreFeed event should occur. Forced the feeding animation to stop when it wasn't happening, causing the character to get stuck in place, unable to do anything. Therefore, I decided to shove a few chips into a couple of scripts that should help with this. What I personally lacked was at least fixing the vanilla bugs that prevented the vampire from playing. As you probably already know, there are a lot of mods that change the system of vampirism: from overhauls to a bunch of all sorts of unnecessary spells with beautiful icons. ![]()
